Top-Ranked Seminoles Next Test Up for Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will kick off Atlantic Coast Conference play on Saturday night, traveling to face the No. 1 Florida Seminoles at the Seminole Soccer Complex. The match, which is set for a 6 p.m. start, will air live on ACCNX, which streams live on the ESPN App.

• BC took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute but three consecutive goals from Holy Cross put the Eagles in a two-goal deficit in the 59th minute ... BC responded with four goals over the final 19 minutes for the comeback victory.
• Samantha Agresti registered her first career brace in the win while Laura Gouvin potted her first game-winning goal of the season.
• Ella Richards collected two assists while Andi Barth earned her first collegiate point with an assist.
• It was the first two-goal comeback win for the Eagles since Aug. 18, 2017 in a 4-3 win over James Madison … Jenna Bike also scored the goal to pull BC within one in that game.

RICHARDS (THE ROOKIE)
• Ella Richards leads the Eagles with 20 points on a team-high eight goals and four assists.
• The freshman sits first in the ACC in points (20), points per game (2.50), goals (8) and goals per game (1.00) ... her goals per game average ranks sixth overall in the country.
• Richards has scored eight goals in the first eight games of the season, including three braces.
• She scored twice against Harvard, UMass and Kennesaw State ... the Chicago native also had a one goal, two assist outing against UConn.
• She scored her first career game-winning goal against UMass.

HELLO, LINDA
• Linda Boama has recorded six goals and three assists for 15 points through the first eight games of the season.
• The sophomore began the season by scoring at least one goal in each of the first four games ... she was the first Eagle to score in the first four games of the season since Victoria DiMartino scored in the first four games of the 2009 season.
• Boama has recorded a point in six out of eight contests, including a pair of one goal, one assist outings.
• She has three game-winning goals on the year, which ties for third overall in the nation.
• Boama was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 31 after helping BC to a 3-0-0 week with three goals and two assists.

2021 CAPTAINS
• The Eagles are led by Jenna Bike, Mia Karras and Michela Agresti in 2021.
• This is the second consecutive year that Bike and Karras are captaining the Eagles while Agresti is a first-time captain.
• In 2021, Bike started all 14 contests for the Eagles in her return to the pitch from injury ... the graduate student finished second on the team in scoring with 10 points on four goals and two assists.
• Karras, a graduate student, played and started all 14 of BC's contests last season.
