North Named Tewaaraton Award Finalist

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senior attacker Charlotte North has been named a Tewaaraton Award Finalist, as announced by the committee Friday. The Tewaaraton Award is given to the best male and female college lacrosse players in the nation.

A native of Dallas, North has 81 points this year on 71 goals and 10 assists. She was named an All-ACC first team member and ACC All-Tournament team member. North also leads BC in draw controls with 141, which is the third-most in a single season at BC. She is fifth in the nation in goals and fourth in goals per game with 4.44, while being seventh in the country in draws per game with 8.81. North is the only player in the top-10 in goals and draws per game. Also being incredibly efficient, North is eighth in the country with a .634 shooting percentage.
Earlier this season, North broke the ACC record for goals in a single game with 10, doing so on April 10 at Virginia Tech. She has 13 multi-goal games this year and 12 hat tricks.

This is the fifth time an Eagle has been named a finalist and the third-straight year. Sarah Mannelly '16 was the first to be named a finalist in 2015, then Sam Apuzzo '19 was named a finalist and won the award in 2018. Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault '19 were both named finalists in 2019.

North and the Eagles open the 2021 NCAA Tournament on Friday, May 14 at 1 p.m. against Fairfield at the Newton Lacrosse and Soccer Field.
