Louisville Snaps BC’s Five-Game Winning Streak

Cards win their first game of the series in Saturday’s nightcap
BRIGHTON, Mass. – Louisville scored nine runs over the final four innings en route to a 10-1 victory Saturday evening in the second game of a day-night doubleheader at Harrington Athletics Village. The loss snapped BC's season-long five-game winning streak, the longest win streak for the Eagles since 2018.
BC is now 13-28 on the season and 8-20 in the ACC while Louisville moved to 18-25-1 and 12-19-1 in the conference.
Louisville took advantage of three BC errors to score four unearned runs. The Cards finished with 17 hits in the win.
Boston College finished the game with nine hits, including two each from Ellie Mataya and Gianna Randazza.
Kristin Giery launched her fourth home run of the season in the sixth for BC's lone run.
BC looks to capture the series win tomorrow on Senior Day. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. with live coverage on ACC Network. Following the game, Boston College is set to honor its senior class.
