
BC Hosts Syracuse for ACC Matchup

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Coming off a 5-0 win at UMass, The No. 13 Boston College field hockey team welcomes No. 8 Syracuse to Newton for an ACC matchup on Saturday, April 10 at 1 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Boston College defeated the UMass Minutewomen, 5-0, led by Margo Carlin, who scored two goals and added an assist on the day. Also adding goals were Elizabeth Warner, Jaime Natale and Caroline McGovern. McGovern's goal was her first of the season.
 
SCOUTING BC
Boston College enters at 6-5 and 1-2 in the ACC. Its lone ACC win came against then-No. 2 Louisville in a 1-0 win in Newton.
 
Offensively, BC is led by Margo Carlin (5G, 7A) and Elizabeth Warner (7G, 1A), who have 17 and 15 points, respectively. The attack trio of Carlin, Warner and Jaime Natale (5G, 1A) has 17 of BC's 26 goals this year. That trio and Fusine Govaert are the only four Eagles to have started every game this year.
 
In goal, BC is led by Jonna Kennedy, who earned the shutout against UMass. She is 4-5 in net with a 2.17 goals against average and .743 save percentage. In her last four appearances, Kennedy has only given up one goal total.
 
SCOUTING CUSE
Syracuse enters with an 8-5 record and is 1-1 this spring with a win over Duke and loss to Louisville. Their last game was a 1-0 loss at Louisville.
 
Offensively, they're led by SJ Quigley and Charlotte De Vries, who has 12 points and 10 points, respectively. Quigley, de Vries and Laura Graziosi each have four goals on the year and Cuse has eight players with at least two goals this season.
 
In goal, Emily Streib has started all four games in the spring season with a 3-1 record, 1.22 goals against average and .667 save percentage.
