Kennedy Lifts BC Overtime Win Against Syracuse

NEWTON, Mass. – Jonna Kennedy made 21 saves in goal to lead No. 13 Boston College to a 2-1 (2OT) win against No. 8 Syracuse at the Newton Field Hockey Complex on Saturday, April 10.
BC made every shot count, scoring two goals on two shots on goal, while Kennedy made 21 saves on the day.
Margo Carlin opened the scoring for the game in the 12th minute, taking a pass from Elizabeth Warner in the circle and around the goalkeeper.
Syracuse's Charlotte de Vries then tied it in the 32nd minute off a rebound attempt on a penalty corner.
The game would be scoreless for the next 40 minutes until Elizabeth Warner carried the ball right in front of the goal and pushed it in off an opponent's foot.
