BC Continues Non-Conference Schedule at UMass

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team continues its non-conference schedule in-state, heading to Amherst, Massachusetts to take on UMass at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
 
Scouting BC
BC enters 5-5 and 1-2 in the ACC. The lone ACC win came in shutout fashion against No. 2 Louisville at home. Last time out, BC fell on the road to No. 14 Virginia, 1-0.
 
Offensively, the Eagles are led by Elizabeth Warner, who has six goals and one assist in 10 games this year. Margo Carlin is second with 12 points on three goals and a team-high six assists.
 
Jonna Kennedy earned the start in goal last time out against Virginia. She's appeared in eight games with a .743 save percentage and 2.38 goals against average.
 
Scouting UMass
UMass enters 6-2 and 2-1 in the Atlantic 10. BC and UMass both have wins over Northeastern, Vermont and Maine, but BC beat New Hampshire while UMass lost, 3-1.
 
Jess Beech and Goergie McTear lead UMass with 10 points each. Beech, McTear and Josephine Ang each have four goals this year for the Minutewomen.
 
Brooke Richards has started all eight games for UMass, amassing a 1.43 goals against average and .613 save percentage.

BC continues ACC play at home against Syracuse on Saturday, April 10 at 1 p.m.
