Chukwujekwu Named All-ACC for Second Straight Season

Senior middle blocker became only BC’s second two-time honoree in program history.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College senior middle blocker Amaka Chukwujekwu (Laurel, Md.) was voted to the All-ACC Volleyball Second Team for the second year in a row. She is just the second two-time honoree in program history and first since Allison Anderson (2005, 2006).

Chukwujekwu tallied 1.16 kills per set on a team-leading .295 hitting percentage. She totaled 45 digs for a 0.76 per set average. She moved up four spots to second all-time at BC in total blocks with 391. Chukwujekwu is tied for the program record in block assists at 308 with Krystie Higgins (2009-12).

The Eagles posted an overall mark of 6-12 during the 2020-21 season and 4-12 in the ACC. BC overcame a 0-8 fall season and nine losses in its first 10 matches against top-20 opponents.

Chukwujekwu will return for a fifth season of eligibility in the fall.
