CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team defeated No. 11 Virginia on Wednesday, April 28 at Dorrance Field, 16-12, to advance to the ACC Championships semifinal game.

Leading the way for BC was Cara Urbank, who had two goals and a game-high three assists, while Cassidy Weeks, Caitlynn Mossman and Charlotte North each had a hat trick.

In goal, Rachel Hall made 10 saves on 22 shots to earn her 13th win of the season.

The Eagles scored first off a North shot, before Virginia answered with three of its own to take a 3-1 lead.

BC then scored the game's next seven goals and eight of the last 10 in the first half to take a 9-5 lead into halftime.

A 4-0 run by the Cavaliers made it a one-goal game, 9-8, with 23:50 to play before goals by Belle Smith and Cassidy Weeks gave BC a cushion.

Both of Urbank's goals, including the game-winner, came in the second half.

In the game, BC had 29 shots to Virginia's 28, and grabbed 16 of 30 draw controls. 26 of BC's 29 shots were on goal, giving the Eagles a .928 shot on goal percentage.
