Eagles Drop Two Against Pitt

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College softball team dropped a pair of games against Pittsburgh on Friday, April 23 at the Harrington Athletic Village. The Eagles lost the first game of the day, 7-4, and the second, 9-5 (5 innings).
BC moves to 8-27 on the year.
The Eagles jumped out to a quick start in the first inning of game one, scoring four runs. Emme Martinez hit a single to left field, scoring Elisabeth Laviolette. Then, Kristin Giery hit a single up the middle to score Ellie Mataya.
Next, AJ Alatorre plated Martinez on a single to right, before Nicole Giery would score her sister, Kristin, on a single through the left side.
The Panthers would tie the game at four in the top of the third and then take the lead for good in the top of the sixth.
In game two, Pitt scored two runs in the first, second and third innings to jump out to a 6-0 lead. Pitt scored two more in the fifth to make it a 9-0 lead and the game ended in five.
