Eagles Earn USTFCCA Team Academic Award; Lauren White Honored

Women's cross country team recognized among nation's elite
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Lauren White earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Cross Country All-Academic honors, while the Eagles' women's cross country team also earned the USTFCCCA Team Academic Award.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have either qualified for the national championship meet or finished top-five at their respective conference championship.

White placed 62nd overall at the 2021 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship, covering the six-kilometer course in a time of 21:12.6. During the fall, White earned All-ACC honors, placing eighth overall at the conference championship meet. White tied for the best finish at the ACC Championship for a BC runner since 2015.

Boston College is also one of 233 teams to earn All-Academic honors. In order to qualify, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
