Rafael Salama, AD Union Adarve Win Title

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – When AD Union Adarve defeated ED Moratalaz, 3-1, for the Tercera Division Group VII title on March 28, former Boston College men's soccer player Rafael Salama was among the Union Adarve champions.
Salama opened the scoring for Union Adarve in the ninth minute, putting home his third goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. Union Adarve would take a 3-0 lead by the 65th minute before Mortalaz got on the board 10 minutes later with its lone goal of the game.
The midfielder, who missed the 2019 season at BC due to a torn ACL, appeared in 19 games for AD Union Adarve during the 2020-21 season – his first professional season – and scored three goals.
In his time on the Heights, Salama appeared in 49 games for the Eagles, starting 39 of them, while recording one goal and two assists for four points. The Madrid, Spain native was also a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
