"Kanye is a very skilled and athletic combo guard," said Grant. "He is wired to score and has great speed and quickness. He will add great length to our backcourt and he has the tools to be a great defender. We're excited about his future in Boston!"
McGlockton is a 6-7, 220 lb. forward from Cumming, Ga. This past season, he led South Forsyth H.S. to a season-record 23 wins - including 17 straight victories - en route to capturing the school's first regional championship in 23 years. As a senior, he averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game was named a Class 7A All-State selection. McGlockton finished his prep career as South Forsyth's all-time leader in points and rebounds, while ranking second in blocked shots. The Atlanta Tipoff Club also tabbed him as a 2021 All-Metro selection. As a junior, he averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game en route to being named the Forsyth County Player of the Year. McGlockton was a 2020 First Team All-State selection in football, starring as a tight end for the War Eagles.
"Devin is a big forward who has a knack for scoring around the basket," Grant explained. "His ability to shoot the ball will allow him to play inside and out. He is a big-time rebounder and has great timing as a shot blocker. I'm excited to get him to Boston!"
