NC State Holds Off Eagles
April 17, 2021 | Women's Soccer
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Boston College women's soccer team fell on the road at NC State on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3-1 contest at Dail Soccer Field.
Jenna Bike gave the Eagles a lead in the eighth minute and Allie Augur made six saves in the first half to send BC into halftime with the 1-0 edge. The Wolfpack, though, would score the equalizing goal in the 55th minute before an own goal gave the hosts a 2-1 lead in the 74th minute.
The Eagles kept pushing for a second goal – and almost got it with five minutes to play – but the Wolfpack would hold on and add an insurance goal with three minutes to play for the final 3-1 scoreline.
