No. 10 Eagles Host No. 14 Duke

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 10 Boston College field hockey team closes its regular season with a 1 p.m. matchup against No. 14 Duke on Saturday, April 17. The 2021 senior class will be honored pregame.
Scouting BC
The Eagles enter with an 8-5 record and are 2-2 in the ACC this spring. Since the beginning of the spring season, BC has an 8-2 record. Leading the way for BC is Margo Carlin (6G, 7A) and Elizabeth Warner (8G, 2A), who has 19 points and 18 points, respectively.
In goal, Jonna Kennedy has a 6-5 record, 1.82 goals against average and has a .796 save percentage. Kennedy currently leads the ACC in both save percentage and saves per game (7.09). She also has three shutouts.
Scouting Duke
Duke enters with a 4-11 record and is 2-3 in the ACC. Freshman Darcy Bourne leads the Blue Devils with eight goals, while Hannah Miller has 12 points on three goals and six assists.
Piper Hampsch has started all 15 games for Duke and has a 4-11 record. She has a 2.52 goals against average and .655 save percentage.
Last Time Out
BC closed its non-conference schedule at Providence, beating the Friars, 2-0. Sky Caron scored both goals for BC, one on a reverse and one on a penalty stroke. It was a game the Eagles dominated, outshooting Providence, 20-3.
Kennedy Honors
Goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy had one of the best performances in program-history in goal, making 21 saves to lead BC to an overtime win over Syracuse. The save count was the third-most in a single game in BC history. She went 2-0 last week with wins over Syracuse and UMass, including a shutout against the Minutewomen. Her efforts earned her ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
