Boston College Drops Florida Finale at No. 45 Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Boston College closed its ACC road weekend in Florida with a 7-0 defeat to the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday night. The match was moved up a day due to weather forecast for Sunday.
The Eagles fell to 2-10 (0-10 ACC), while No. 45 Miami improved to 6-7 (4-4 ACC).
The 31st-ranked pair of Franco Aubone and Benjamin Hannestad got Miami off to a strong start with a 6-0 victory in first doubles. Bojan Jankulovski and Stefan Milicevic clinched the opening point with a 6-2 win at third doubles. Will Kasten and Max Mendelsohn had a 5-4 lead in No. 2 doubles but the matchup went unfinished.Â
The Hurricanes won all six singles matches in straight sets. Max Motlagh played a competitive second set in a tough matchup against No. 27 A. Soriano Barrera on Court 1 before falling 6-1, 7-5. Mason Fung also played a tight second set in fifth singles against Franco Aubone.Â
Boston College returns home next weekend to host Clemson and Georgia Tech to finish the regular season.
