No. 2 Eagles Host No. 18 Northeastern Friday on Senior Night

Senior assistant captain Michael Karow will be honored prior to faceoff at 5 p.m.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Second-ranked Boston College hosts No. 18 Northeastern on Senior Night to close the regular season on Friday (March 5) at Kelley Rink with faceoff scheduled for 5 p.m. The game will be streamed for free via SportsLive, and radio coverage begins at 4:45 p.m. on WEEI 850 AM and BCEagles.com.
The Eagles (15-4-1) lead BU and UMass by roughly two points in the HEPI and have a chance to lock up first place in Hockey East and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. BC has won three in a row against Northeastern by the combined score of 19-5, which includes a 6-2 victory a month ago on Feb. 2 at Matthews Arena.
SENIOR NIGHT
• Prior to Friday's game, Boston College will honor its lone senior skater Michael Karow along with senior managers Marc Zampanti and Jack Lipsky
• An assistant captain, Karow scored his first career NCAA goal at Northeastern on Feb. 2 in his 120th career game
• The defenseman ranks fourth in Hockey East this season in blocked shots with 36
• The Arizona Coyotes draft pick is tied for seventh in the league with a +13 rating and owns a +23 rating over his final two seasons on the Heights
FIRST MEETING
• Then-No. 1 Boston College received six multi-point performances and goals from six different players in a 6-2 road victory over Northeastern on Feb. 2 at Matthews Arena
• Playing in his 120th career game, senior defenseman Michael Karow scored his first collegiate goal unassisted for an insurance tally and a 5-2 cushion in the third period
• Marc McLaughlin, Patrick Giles, Jack McBain, Marshall Warren and Nikita Nesterenko registered a goal and an assist for the Eagles, who improved to 7-1-1 in their last nine visits to Matthews
