2020-21 Season Wraps This Weekend

Eagles in N.C. for two vs. Wake Forest before facing Merrimack at home Saturday night.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College volleyball team wraps its 2020-21 season with three matches in three days beginning Thursday, April 1 at Wake Forest. The Eagles and Demon Deacons are set for a Friday rematch before BC returns home for its season finale Saturday at 6 p.m. against Merrimack.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
• BC is coming off a 2-0 weekend with a 3-1 win over Miami and 3-0 sweep of Virginia Tech at Power Gym. Sophomore middle blocker Gabby McCaa became the program's first ACC Player of the Week since 2007 with a .448 hitting percentage against the Hurricanes and Hokies. On the season, she is hitting .289 with 1.20 kills and 0.96 blocks per set.
• Senior outside hitter Clare Naughton leads the BC attack with 2.56 kills per set. She is adding 2.42 digs per set and has recorded four double-doubles on the season. Senior middle blocker Amaka Chukwujekwu currently ranks fifth all-time at BC in total blocks with 327. She is averaging 0.80 blocks and 1.70 kills per set on a team-leading .306 hitting percentage.

• Wake Forest leads the all-time series with BC, 15-9. The Eagles have won each of the last two match-ups by scores of 3-1 and 3-2 in a 2019 home-and-home series. Naughton registered a double-double with a match-high 19 kills and 10 digs at home as Boston College moved to 4-0 in ACC play early in the 2019 season. BC moved to 19-9 late in the season with 12 kills from Jewel Strawberry and a 20-dig effort from Torey Baum.
