Graduate transfer guard set to join the Eagles for the 2021-22 season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Head coach Earl Grant has announced that Brevin Galloway will continue his academic and athletic endeavors at Boston College. He will join the Eagles' roster for the 2021-22 season as a graduate transfer. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in 2020 from the College of Charleston.
Galloway - a 6-2, 220 lb. guard - averaged 15.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game for the Cougars before suffering a season-ending injury in mid-December. A 2020-21 preseason All-CAA selection, he poured in a career-best 27 points, knocking down six 3-pointers, against Marshall on Dec. 9, 2020. Galloway led CofC with 15 points in the season opener against North Carolina.
"I'm extremely excited that Brevin will be joining us in Boston," Grant said. "He's a person of high character and someone you can trust. His leadership and his ability to shoot the ball will really make an impact on our team. He has great instincts and was at the top of the conference in steals. I look forward to coaching him in his final year."
As a junior, Galloway was Charleston's second-leading scorer, at 11.3 points per game. He led the Cougars in steals (69) and earned a spot on the CAA's All-Defensive Team. He started 30 of 31 games and reached double-digits in the scoring column on 19 occasions. He posted an effective FG% of 55.0 and a true shooting percentage of 56.0, ranking among the best in the CAA.
