North Lifts No. 4 Eagles 14-13 in Overtime

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Held scoreless for the entire game until overtime, Charlotte North scored a minute and 37 seconds into overtime to lift the No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team over No. 16 Louisville, 14-13, in Alumni Stadium on Friday, March 26.
Offensively, BC was led by Belle Smith, who had an incredible efficient day scoring four goals on four shots.
It was a total team effort as five Eagles tallied three or more points, led by Smith. Courtney Weeks had a hat trick, while Caitlynn Mossman had had three assists. Both Jenn Medjid and Annie Walsh had two goals and an assist.
Cara Urbank added two goals of her own as well.
It was a back and forth first half as BC's largest lead was four with 8:19 to go in the first half. The Eagles would head to halftime up 9-7.
The Cardinals came out firing in the second half, scoring five straight to take a 12-9 lead with 17:31 to go in the game.
Walsh then jumpstarted a four-goal BC run, followed by a pair of goals by Smith and finally Weeks gave BC the lead back at 13-12.
Both Louisville and BC had shots to score with less than two minutes to go but neither could convert.
Heading into overtime, Charlotte North won the draw and BC held possession until North scored on a question mark dodge going to her left.

- Charlotte North extends her point and goal streak to 37 games following her overtime goal.
- Belle Smith now has back-to-back games with four goals. She's shooting .810 from the field with 18 goals on just 22 shots.
- Courtney Weeks scored her first hat trick of the year. She now has goals in five-straight after being held scoreless in the first two games of the year.
- Jenn Medjid had three points today, giving her at least two points in every game this season.
