March 25, 2021 | Men's Hockey
ALBANY, N.Y. – The NCAA and the Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee have announced that Notre Dame's student-athletes and coaching staff will not be able to play in the NCAA Tournament because of COVID-19 protocols.
The NCAA Northeast Regional Semifinal between Boston College and Notre Dame scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Times Union Center will now be considered a no-contest, and therefore, BC will advance to the next round of the tournament.
This decision was made in consultation with the Albany County Public Health Department and the NCAA Medical Advisory Group.Â
The Eagles will play the winner of No. 2 seed St. Cloud State vs. No. 3 seed Boston University on Sunday in the NCAA Regional Final at the Times Union Center at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
