The Boston College women's golf team tied for 12th place at the Kiawah Island Classic, held at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina. Charleston served as the host of the tournament, that was contested on the Cougar Point course (par 72 - 5,991 yards).
RECAP
Freshman Angel Lin - in her first collegiate tournament - led BC with a tie for 10th place. Lin shot 5-over par, opening with a 75 followed by 1-over 73's in the second and final rounds.
Nathalie Irlbacher tied for 17th place, two strokes behind Lin. Irlbacher opener the tournament with a pair of 75's before firing a 1-over 73 during Tuesday's final round.
Ananya Barthakur tied for 100th place. Her best round came on Monday, carding a 76. Bibliani Liu finished one stroke behind her teammate, tying for 112th place. She also shined on Monday, registering a score of 75. Canice Screene tied for 161st place, rounding out scoring for the Eagles. Â
BC finished in a tie for 12th place, with a team score of 915. The Eagles return to action March 15-16 at the Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, S.C.
