Eagles' three-game winning streak snapped with the loss
BRIGHTON, Mass. – Boston University pitcher Ali DuBois moved to 7-0 on the season as the Terriers' ace shutout Boston College 5-0 Thursday afternoon at Harrington Athletics Village. DuBois allowed just three hits and fanned eight to drop her season ERA to 0.17 with the victory.
The loss snapped BC's (5-8) three-game winning streak while BU moved to 8-1 on the year.
The Terriers scored three in the third, including a pair of unearned runs, to give DuBois all the support she needed.
BU tacked on single runs in the fourth and the fifth to secure the victory.
BC's Susannah Anderson (3-5) threw her fifth complete game of the season and the 19th of her career for the Eagles. The Virginia native allowed three earned runs and struck out six.
Boston College returns to the diamond Sunday with a doubleheader versus Stony Brook. First pitch is set for noon with live broadcast coverage of both games on ACC Network Extra.
