White Wins 3,000m run at Tiger Paw Invitational

BC finishes 1-2-6 in the event
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Boston College women's track & field team finished up competition at the Tiger Paw Invitational, held at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex.
BC went 1-2-6 in the 3,000m run on Saturday. Lauren White won the race, clocking a time of 9:26.86, followed by Anna Oeser in 9:35.41. Miriam Ruoff ran 9:58.09, good for sixth place.
A quartet of Eagles raced in the 800m, with Marne Sullivan leading the charges - placing 16th in a time of 2:12.55. Maureen Lewin took 20th place in 2:16.45. Sarah Flynn (35th, 2:22.35) and Astrid Snall (35th, 2:30.05) also raced in the half.
Kyla Krtawczyk (47th, 26.55) and Anna Cleary (49th, 26.77) and Sarah Heckel (49th, 26.77) raced in the 200m. Jessica Creedon (14th, 1.57m/5'1.75") competed in the high jump.
In Friday's action, Maureen Lewin placed sixth in the mile run, clocking a time of 4:59.51. Sarah Flynn was ninth, in a time of 5:02.46. Two other Eagles - Miriam Ruoff (14th, 5:12.47) and Astrid Snall (15th, 5:13.33) - also competed in the mile.
Jessica Creedon and Morgan Halt competed in the long jump and 60m hurdles on Friday. Creedon took 20th in the long jump, registering a mark of 5.15m (16'10.75"). She also clocked a time of 9.35 in the hurdles, good for 39th place. Halt's best jump of the day was a 4.92m (16'1.75") and crossed the line in the hurdles in a time of 9.82 (42nd).
A trio of BC runners competed in the 400m. Sarah Heckel was 23rd overall in a time of 59.42, followed by Anna Cleary in 24th place (59.67), and Kyla Krawczyk in 25th (59.93).
