Six Eagles Compete at NCAA East First Rounds

Yasmine Abbes, Aliyah Canty, Aoife Dunne, Ella Fadil, Molly Hudson, and Roshni Singh represented Boston College at NCAA Outdoor East Regionals
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Yasmine Abbes, Aliyah Canty, Aoife Dunne, Ella Fadil, Molly Hudson, and Roshni Singh represented Boston College at the 2025 NCAA DI East First Rounds, which were held Wednesday (May 28) to Saturday (May 31) at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
Thursday
Aoife Dunne and Molly Hudson started off the regional meet for the Eagles with the first round of the Women's 1500m. Dunne earned ninth place in heat 4 with her time of 4:18.63, which led to a 31st overall placement, while Hudson (4:21.96) finished 11th in heat 1 and earned 36th overall.Â
Aliyah Canty raced in the 400m Hurdles first round, and finished 47th overall with her time of 1:01.39.Â
Roshni Singh placed 32nd overall in the Women's 10,000m Semifinal on Thursday evening as she earned a time of 34:26.83.
Saturday
Yasmine Abbes competed in the Women's 3,000m Steeplechase quarterfinals on Saturday Evening. Abbes earned a time of 10:58.10 and finished 46th overall.Â
Ella Fadil placed 22nd overall by earning a personal-best time of 15:56.97 in the Women's 5,000m. Fadil's time keeps her at No. 6 all-time in school history.
The Eagles finished the 2024-25 Track & Field season with many individual and team successes. During the indoor season the Men's and Women's teams combined for nine school records and 47 school top-10 performances.The two teams later went on to earn seven school records and 44 school top-10 performances during the outdoor season.Â
Steven Jackson saw individual success on the Men's side as he earned second place at ACC Indoor Championships in the Men's Mile, and later went on to earn seventh place and first team All-American honors at NCAA Indoor Championships.Â
Boston College sent 22 athletes to ACC Outdoor Championships in Winston-Salem. Freshman Aliyah Canty placed 7th in the 400m Hurdles, while the relay group of Canty, Anna Sonsini, Kylee Bernard, and Anna Becker broke the school record for the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.Â
The Eagles will return to action with the 2025-26 track & field indoor season.
