Eagles Fly South for NCAA East First Rounds

Seven Eagles are set to compete at the 2025 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field East First Rounds in Jacksonville, Fla.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Yasmine Abbes, Aliyah Canty, Aoife Dunne, Ella Fadil, Molly Hudson, Theodor Schucht, and Roshni Singh are set to represent Boston College at the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East First Rounds this Wednesday (May 28) through Saturday (May 31) in Jacksonville, Fla. at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.Â

Boston College will have a total of seven athletes competing over the course of the four-day regional meet. Aoife Dunne and Molly Hudson will participate in the first round of the Women's 1500m competition, while Aliyah Canty will be competing in the first round of the Women's 400m Hurdles. All three athletes will look to qualify for the quarterfinal round in their respective events, which will be held on Saturday. Roshni Singh will look to clinch a spot to Eugene as she competes in the Women's 10,000m semifinal round, while Ella Fadil and Theodor Schucht will both compete in the Women's and Men's 5,000m semifinals with hopes of also earning a spot at NCAA Championships. Yasmine Abbes will take on the Women's 3,000m Steeplechase quarterfinals on Saturday as she looks to improve on her No. 26 ranked time in the country.  Â
The running events are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.Â
Each session will be available to stream live on ESPN+. Live results can be found via Flash Results.
The 2025 NCAA DI outdoor track and field championships will be held Wednesday, June 11 through Saturday, June 14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
The top 12 competitors from each individual event and the top 12 teams from each relay event advance from each first round to the NCAA championship meet. The list of qualifiers from each event contested in the first rounds will be announced by 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 1. The final list of the championship competition participants will be announced by 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 3.
