CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team will do battle on Wednesday against in-state rival, UMass, at 7 p.m. in the Mullins Center in Amherst.

The Eagles sliced a 17-point deficit to one possession late in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get over the hump in a 69-65 setback at VCU on Sunday. Taylor Soule scored 14 of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter and grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. Makayla Dickens came off the bench to score 15 points, while becoming the 30th player in school history to reach 1,000 points following a 3-pointer in the first quarter.
