
No. 13 BC Opens ACC Championship Against No. 14 Virginia

Fourth-seeded Eagles and fifth-seeded Cavaliers meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Fourth-seeded Boston College is set to take on fifth-seeded Virginia in the quarterfinals of the 2021 ACC Field Hockey Championship on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. The tournament will be held at J.S. Coyne Field on the Syracuse campus.
Earlier this season, on Oct. 9, the Eagles earned a 1-0 victory over the Cavaliers in Charlottesville. UVA holds a 15-11 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to the 1988 season.
Boston College finished the 2021 regular season with a 12-5 overall record, including a 3-3 mark in ACC play. The Eagles enter Thursday's match on a three-game win streak.
The winner of Thursday's match will face top-seeded Louisville on Friday, Nov. 5. The Eagles faced off against the Cardinals in Newton on Oct. 15, falling 3-2 in overtime.
