Eagles Head to Blacksburg for ACC Tournament Opener

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 9 seed Boston College (6-6-2, 2-4-2 ACC) travels to Blacksburg on Wednesday night to face No. 8 seed Virginia Tech in the first round of the ACC Tournament at Thompson Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. The winner travels to face top seed Pitt on Sunday in the ACC Quarterfinal.
LAST TIME OUT
• Boston College fell 1-0 to NC State in double overtime on a Luke Hille winner in the 108th minute on Friday night in the regular season finale
• Sam White was issued a red card in the 81st minute, leaving BC with only 10 menÂ
• In extra time, Brennan Klein made a beautiful save on a penalty kick in the 103rd minute, diving with full extension to his left
• Five minutes later, Hille received a cross at the edge of the 6-yard box and buried a header into the bottom right corner
SCOUTING THE HOKIES
• Virginia Tech enters the ACC Tournament at 9-4-3 overall and 3-4-1 in the ACC
• The Hokies fell to No. 12 Pitt 4-1 on the final night of the regular season last Friday, going down to 10 men early
