
Cross Country Competes at New England Championship

Men's varsity places 10th overall; Steven Jackson places 24th
BOSTON — Boston College competed at the New England Championship on Saturday at Franklin Park.
Steven Jackson was the team's top finisher, crossing the line in 24th place in a time of 25:22, a personal best for the eight-kilometer course. David Scherrer, who was only seven seconds behind, earned another personal best and clocked in at 25:29 for 30th place. Jack Carter finished in a time of 26:02 (54th), followed by John Wacker in 26:17 (69th), Peter Fox in 26:29 (72nd), and Jack Seiberlich in 26:45 (87th). John Fitzpatrick rounded out the BC finishers in 26:56 (101st).  ÂAs a team, BC finished in 10th place, accumulating 249 points. Dartmouth came in first with 60 points, closely followed by American International with 78.
In the sub varsity 8k, Will Purnell led the way for Boston College, clocking 26:24 in 9th place. Edward Tristine was 13th (26:38) and Eero Helenius was 32nd (27:11).
