Senior standout named to coaches and Blue Ribbon Panel All-ACC teams
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior forward Taylor Soule was named to the All-ACC Preseason Teams, as announced Wednesday live on ACC Network's Packer and Durham Show.
Soule was selected to both the coaches and Blue Ribbon Panel All-ACC teams. She also received one vote from the Blue Ribbon Panel for Preseason Player of the Year honors.
As a team, BC was picked to finish 11th in the ACC by both the league's head coaches and Blue Ribbon Panel.
BC returns all five starters this season, including Soule, All-ACC defender Marnelle Garraud, the ACC's second-best three-point shooter in Makayla Dickens and All-ACC Tournament selection Cameron Swartz.
Soule became just the third Eagle in school history to be named First-Team All-ACC by the league's head coaches as a junior. She was also named to the All-ACC Second-Team by the Blue Ribbon Panel.
Soule joined Emma Guy (2019-20) and Carolyn Swords (2008-09, 2009-10) as the only Boston College women's basketball standouts to garner All-ACC First-Team accolades. One year after being named the ACC's Most Improved Player, Soule ranked fifth in the conference in scoring (16.6 points per game), second in the ACC in offensive rebounds (3.8 per game) and fifth in the league in free throws made (69) in the final regular season statistics.
Boston College opens the 2021-22 season at Conte Forum on Tuesday, Nov. 9 vs. Harvard. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with live broadcast coverage on ACC Network Extra.
