The Eagles continue a three-game road swing with a trip to Pitt.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will travel to Pitt on Thursday, Oct. 21 for a match with the Panthers.

A WIN OVER PITT WOULD . . .
• Move Boston College to 8-7-1 overall on the year and to 2-6-0 in ACC play.

• The Panthers enter Thursday's match at 9-6-0 overall and 2-5-0 in ACC play.
• Pitt last played at Syracuse on Monday, picking up a 4-2 road win.
• The Panthers opened up the year with five consecutive wins, including a 3-2 overtime win at No. 16 Oklahoma State before falling at No. 6 TCU, 1-0 ... Pitt picked up its first ACC victory of the year in September with a 2-0 win at Miami.
• Sarah Schupansky leads Pitt in scoring with 18 points on seven goals and four assists ... 14 different players have scored a goal for the Panthers while eight players have multiple goals.

• These two teams first met on Oct. 11, 1997 with BC getting a 2-0 road win.
• In last year's meeting in Pittsburgh, the Panthers held off the Eagles for a 4-3 win ... Pitt opened the scoring but goals from Sam Smith and Mia Karras put BC up 2-1 by the 20th minute ... the Panthers then scored two goals early in the second half and then responded to a Jenna Bike goal for a 4-3 win.

• Laura Gouvin's corner kick in the 17th minute gave BC a 1-0 lead and then Jenna Bike's strike early in the second half made it 2-0 ... Louisville pulled a goal back late but the Eagles held on.
• Wiebke Willebrandt finished with four saves for the Eagles.

• Jenna Bike is BC's active scoring leader with 47 points on 18 goals and 11 assists.
• Sam Smith is the second-highest active scorer with 39 points on 17 goals and five assists.
