Eagles, Black Bears Set to Meet at Kelley Rink on Saturday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 4/5 Boston College women's hockey team will host the University of Maine for a single game on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Kelley Rink. Puck drop is set for 2 p.m., and the game will stream live on College SportsLive.

All games this season will be made available across the U.S. and internationally on SportsLive, while all games televised on NESN and NESN+ and other select matchups will also be made available on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app outside of New England.

• Loryn Porter has started five of seven games between the pipes, going 0-4-0 with a .896 save percentage and 3.50 goals against average ... Jorden Mattison is 2-1-0 with a 1.15 goals against average and .950 save percentage.

• Boston College took both ends of a home-and-home series with New Hampshire last weekend, winning 2-1 at Kelley Rink on Friday and 3-2 in Durham on Saturday.
• In Friday's game, Jillian Fey put BC up 1-0 in the second and then Kelly Browne took just 13 seconds to respond to a UNH equalizer in the third with her first goal and game-winner of the season ... Abigail Levy made 30 saves for the win.
• On Saturday, UNH took a 2-0 lead early in the second period but BC scored three unanswered for the 3-2 comeback win ... Abby Newhook got the Eagles on the board late in the second and then Willow Corson equalized 30 seconds later ... Newhook then scored her first career game-winning goal with under four minutes to play ... Levy made 22 saves for the win.
• The comeback win marked the first time BC has come back from a two-goal deficit to win since a 7-5 win over Vermont on Jan. 17, 2020.
• It was also BC's first win when trailing after two periods since a 2-1 overtime win over UConn on Jan. 23, 2021.

IT'S WORTH NOTING . . .
• For the second consecutive year, Gaby Roy scored the first goal of the season for BC (and both goals happened in second period of the season opener).

CAPTAIN KELLY
• Five games in to her fourth year at BC, Kelly Browne has 86 points on 32 goals and 54 assists, ranking in the top 30 in program history in points (86 - 27th), goals (32 - 30th), game-winning goals (5 - 27th) and assists (54 - 24th)
• Browne scored her fifth career game-winning goal in BC's 2-1 home-opening win over UNH on Oct. 15, 2021.
• As a junior in 2020-21, Browne tied for the team lead in scoring with 21 points off of seven goals and 14 assists and was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star … her 14 assists led the team, ranked fourth in Hockey East and tied for 10th in the nation while her 11 primary assists tied for second most in Hockey East and fifth in the country.
• The two-year captain led the team and finished seventh in the nation with 250 face-off wins and also had a .598 winning percentage at the dot, third-best in the nation among players taking at least 400 draws.
• The Burlington, Mass. native has skated in all 95 of BC's contests over the last three seasons.
• In a 17 face-off win performance against Providence on Feb. 12, 2021 Browne reached 1,000 for her career making her the first player to reach 1,000 career face-off wins as a junior since Alex Carpenter '16 did it during her 2014-15 junior season.
• Browne's single-game career high for wins is 21, coming in a 3-3 tie with Maine on Oct. 26, 2019.
