
Eagles Travel to Pre-National Meet in Tallahassee

The six-kilometer race features some of the top teams in the country
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Following a successful showing at the New England Championship, the Boston College Women's Cross Country team is headed to Tallahassee, Fla. for the NCAA Pre-National Meet on Friday, Oct. 15 at Appalachee Regional Park.
ÂLast time out on Oct. 9, the Eagles took home the team title and dominated both the varsity and sub-varsity five-kilometer courses.
ÂLauren White won the varsity race, setting a new personal-best time for the 5K course at Franklin Park, clocking a time of 17:14. She earned ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week and the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors as a result of the victory.
ÂThe Eagles will be racing eight runners in the varsity or Garnet 6K: White, Anna Oeser, Sarah Flynn, Kylee Raftis, Kayla Smith, Sorcha McAllister, Paige Carter, and Ella Whitman. The Women's 6K Garnet race is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.Â
ÂThe meet will feature 36 teams in the Garnet race. Ten of these teams are nationally ranked including No. 5 Colorado, No. 10 Utah, No. 11 Arkansas, and No. 12 UNC, who the Eagles faced earlier in the season at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
