
Guay, Browne Power BC Past Holy Cross

Alexie Guay had two goals and Kelly Browne had three points as the women's hockey team topped Holy Cross, 5-1.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Alexie Guay had two goals and Kelly Browne had three points, and the No. 8 Boston College women's hockey team came out on top of Holy Cross for a 5-1 victory on Saturday night at the Hart Center Rink.
Hadley Hartmetz chipped in two helpers and Hannah Bilka had two points on one goal and one assist while Abigail Levy made 26 saves for the win.
BC entered the first intermission up 2-0 thanks to goals from Savannah Norcross and Bilka just 36 seconds apart midway through the opening period. Guay's first of the night was the lone score of the second. Holy Cross struck early in the final frame but then goals from Browne and Guay put the contest away.
Levy finished with 26 saves for the Eagles, including 10 in each of the first two frames. Jada Branon made 28 saves for Holy Cross.
Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play while BC had the 33-27 lead in shots on goal.

- 1st, 7:18 | 1-0, BC GOAL: Bilka worked the puck to Browne below the goal line and Browne came around the right side and tried to jam a puck inside the post. The loose puck fell to the middle of the crease where Norcross slammed it home.
- 1st, 7:54 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Caroline Goffredo carried the puck down the right side of the slot and found Willow Corson in the left circle. Corson dropped the puck back to Bilka and the sophomore collected it, turned and slid a backhand across the ice inside the far post.
- 2nd, 1:40 | 3-0, BC GOAL: Browne put pressure on the Crusaders below the goal line and forced a turnover. The captain slipped a back into the slot and Guay skated on to it and one-timed it into the upper right corner of the net.
- 3rd, 1:03 | 3-1, HC GOAL: Millie Sirum skated in alone on Levy and placed her shot over the right shoulder, putting in inside the upper left corner.
- 3rd, 8:01 | 4-1, BC GOAL: Browne skated into the zone and into the right circle. When she reached the face-off dot, she fired a wrist shot under the crossbar.
- 3rd, 12:19 | 5-1, BC GOAL: From the right point, Hartmetz sent a puck across the zone into the left circle. In one motion, Guay collected it and then wristed it under the crossbar.
- BC now holds an 8-0-0 record in the all-time series with Holy Cross … the Eagles are 4-0-0 at the Hart Center … head coach Katie Crowley is 8-0-0 all-time against the Crusaders.
- With her assist in the first period, Kelly Browne became the 33rd player in program history to reach 75 career points … her three point night marked the 19th multi-point game of her career … Browne has at least one point in eight consecutive games against Holy Cross … Browne also finished with a game-high 14 wins at the dot.
- Hannah Bilka now has 11 points (6-5-11) in five career games against Holy Cross … her two points marked the 12th multi-point game of her career … this marks BC's second straight trip to Holy Cross in which Bilka scored the game-winning goal.
- Alexie Guay notched the first multi-goal game of her career … she extended her point streak to four games with her two-goal night.
- Hadley Hartmetz recorded the fifth multi-point game of her career with her two helpers … Hartmetz has earned at least one point in all five of her career games against Holy Cross.
- Savannah Norcross extended her point streak to four games with the game's opening tally.
- The Eagles are now the only team in the country have three goaltenders with at least two wins each in Abigail Levy (2-1-0), Maddy McArthur (4-1-0) and Kelly Pickreign (3-1-0).
