Eagles Open Fall Slate at Notre Dame

The Boston College women's soccer team will kick off its eight-game ACC schedule on Thursday night, traveling to Notre Dame for a 6 p.m. match against the Fighting Irish.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will kick off its eight-game ACC schedule on Thursday night, traveling to Notre Dame for a 6 p.m. match against the Fighting Irish. The game can be seen on national television on ACC Network, and a list of updated cable providers can be found on www.getaccn.com.

ABOUT NOTRE DAME
• The Fighting Irish come into the meeting with the Eagles having played two matches, dropping an opener at Florida State, 5-0, before topping Miami, 6-0.
• Notre Dame returns 93 percent of its scoring from 2019 with 81 of the team's 87 points on the roster, including 28 of 31 goals (90.3%) and 23 of its 25 assists (92%).
• The team's 2019 leading scorer Sammi Fisher is back after leading the Irish in goals (6), assists (5) and points (17).
• Fisher and classmate Eva Hurm were both members of the All-ACC third team last year.
• Nate Norman is in his third season as head coach of the Fighting Irish.
SERIES HISTORY VS NOTRE DAME
• Boston College and Notre Dame have met 13 times, with the Fighting Irish holding a lead of 1-12-0 in the all-time series.
• This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2015, when a then-No. 16 Notre Dame squad topped the Eagles, 2-0, on Oct. 11, 2015.
• The Eagles and Fighting Irish first met on Oct. 27, 1995 at Notre Dame ... the hosts came away with a 3-1 win.
• BC's lone win in the series came on Nov. 7, 2003, with the Eagles earning a 2-1 win in the BIG EAST tournament.
• The Eagles and Irish have clashed in five different locations ... in addition to Notre Dame and Newton, the two schools have squared off in a neutral site game at Rutgers University, the BIG EAST tournament in Storrs, Conn. and also at Natick HS in Natick, Mass.

• Megan Crevoiserat and Emily Knous both come to Chestnut Hill with collegiate experience under their belts, arriving from Saint Louis and Arizona, respectively.
• The top five players who played the most minutes in 2019 return in Michela Agresti (1,642), Riley Lochhead (1,600), Allie Augur (1,439), Mia Karras (1,434) and Sam Smith (1,417).
• Smith is the returning leading scorer, having registered 18 points on eight goals and two assists as a freshman.
• The roster features eight freshmen, seven sophomores, four juniors, three seniors and one graduate student.
2020 CAPTAINS
• The Eagles will be led by the trio of Jenna Bike, Jillian Jennings and Mia Karras.
• All three players are first-year captains.
• Bike, who missed the 2019 season due to injury, was named to the United Soccer Coaches Association DI All-Region team as a junior ... she enters her final season on the Heights having appeared in 57 contests with 56 starts while notching 10 goals and 10 assists.
• Karras played in all 18 contests for the Eagles in 2019, a career-high, while making 16 starts and logging the third-most minutes among field players with 1,434 ... she recorded one goal and two assists and will enter her senior season with two goals and two assists.
• Jennings enters her senior season having appeared in all 58 games that BC has played over the last three years ... she has logged over 3,500 minutes for the Eagles while also recording eight assists and one goal ... in 2019, she started all 18 contests and recorded three assists ... her older sister Kayla Jennings was a two-year captain for BC.
