
Women’s Golf Adds Three to Roster

Kayser welcomes three student-athletes to the roster for 2020-21
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College golf head coach Drew Kayser announced three additions to the women's golf program. Angel Lin from British Columbia, Canice Screene from England and transfer Nathalie Irlbacher from Germany will join the women's program in the fall of 2020.
Angel Lin| Elgin Park Secondary School | Surrey, British Columbia
World Amateur Golf Rankings: 814 … captain of the Elgin Park golf team … played under head coach Richard Augustus … led the team to the AAA Provincial Finals two straight seasons … won two consecutive individual titles at the Victoria Police Championships … a member of the Canadian National Development team … represented Team British Columbia at the National Women's Amateur Championship in 2019 … won the 2019 BC Women's Amateur by shooting 74, 76, 68, 71 … placed 10th at the 2019 Canadian Junior Girls Championship with scores of 76, 70, 70 73 … competed in the National Junior Championship in 2017 and the North Pacific Team Matches in 2017, 2018 and 2019 … also participated in track and competed in the districts in the 100m and 200m … received the Division of Advancement of Women in Engineering and Geo-Science Award … recipient of the Silver Medal at the regional science fair for golf training aid invention … also enjoys martial arts and playing the piano.
Canice Screene | Epsom College | Croydon, England
Screene graduated from Epsom College in June of 2019 … she captained the Epsom Girls and Surrey County Junior Teams and is ranked the 188th ranked junior in the European Golf Rankings (WAGR of 1865) … recently won the England South Regional U18 Championship with scores of 67-75 … competed for Irish Interpros team in 2018-19 … Irish Girls second lowest qualifier … English South Regional Un-18 Scratch Champion (67.75) … Surrey Junior County Captain in 2017-18 and was a two-time Surrey First Team County Champion … placed third at the Leinster Girls Championship in 2017 and second at the U16 Connacht Girls Championship and fifth at the Under 18 Championship ... her scoring average is currently 75.8.
Nathalie Irlbacher | Korbinian Aigner Gymnasium | Utah Valley University | Munich, Germany
Transferred from Utah Valley University after two seasons … while at Utah Valley, she played 17 total tournaments, including 10 in her freshman season … played in 20 rounds and had a 75.2 average … posted a team-low and program record 68 in the second round of the Hobble Creek Fall Classic where she placed tied for sixth overall in September (2019) … finished tied in eighth at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational as she registered a 78, 73 and 73 last October … as a freshman she played 30 rounds and had a 77.2 average … posted four Top 25 finishes on the year … her best outing at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational with a sixth place finish (+1, 72, 71, 74 – 216) … tied for 16th at the Fresno State Classic with a 4-over-par 220 (75-73-72) … finished tied in 16th at the WAC Championship with a 226 (74-75-77) … best round was a 2-under-par 70 in third round at the Little Rock Golf Classic … recorded a 77.20 scoring average … earned Academic All-WAC honors … prior to arriving in the United States, she competed at Korbinian Aigner Gymnasium in Erding, Germany and St. Leonards School in St. Andrews, Scotland for high school … held a 77 scoring average … ranked in Top 40 in the German women's ranking as well as inside the Top 10 for the U18 girls.
