Eagles Drop Home Opener to Fighting Irish

HAVERHILL, Mass. – Boston College dropped its home opener 5-0 to Notre Dame in ACC play on Friday at the Cedarhale Health and Fitness Club.

The Eagles fell to 1-3 (0-2 ACC) while the Fighting Irish improved to 3-3 (1-0 ACC).

Notre Dame won the doubles point through victories at the No. 1 and 3 positions. The Irish then clinched the match in singles with four straight set wins at the No. 1, 2, 3 and 6 slots.

The Eagles travel to Kentucky on Sunday (Feb. 9) to face Louisville in ACC play at 12 p.m.
