Long Recognized as ACC Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College junior Yufei Long was recognized as the ACC Women's Tennis Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday along with North Carolina's Alexa Graham.

Long turned in a spectacular weekend for the 7-1 Eagles, notching a total of three ranked wins. She defeated Virginia's 30th-ranked Natasha Subhash and Yale's 33rd-ranked Samantha Martinelli, both in three sets at the No. 1 singles position.
In doubles, Long paired with Kylie Wilcox to defeat Yale's fourth-ranked doubles tandem of Martinelli and Jessie Gong, who won the ITA All-American Championships in the fall. The duo of Long and Wilcox also earned a 6-1 victory over No. 11 UVA's top doubles team on Sunday.
Boston College is off this weekend before an ACC trip to face Syracuse on Saturday, Feb. 15.Â
