Eagles Close ACC/Big Ten Challenge with Nebraska Win

ATLANTA - The Boston College softball team closed the final game of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge with a 2-0 win over Nebraska at Mewborn Field in Atlanta on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Susannah Anderson pitched another gem on the mound for the Eagles, going the full seven innings and allowing only two hits with six strikeouts. She moves to 3-3 on the season.
Anderson allowed a hit to the opening batter and then surrendered 16 before giving up her second hit of the game.Â
BC first got on the board when Gianna Boccagno hit a 1-1 pitch over the center field wall for a solo home run.Â
The Eagles then added some insurance as Djhane Valido knocked a single over the shortstop's head to score Ellie Mataya.
Sarah Stocker went 2-3 on the day.

Boston College returns to action next weekend for the Gamecock Invitational from Feb. 21-23 in Columbia, South Carolina.
