
Eagles Have Record-Setting Day at Valentine Invitational

BOSTON - The Boston College men's track and field team broke numerous personal and school records at the Valentine Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the BU Track and Tennis Center.
Sean Sullivan was the highlight of the meet, running a school-record time of 4:02.26 in the event. He placed 21st out of 342 runners who completed the race.
Also running well in the mile was Erik Linden, who ran a 4:05.48. His time is the eighth-fastest time in program history in the event.
Marcus Manson ran a season-best time of 49.22 to qualify for IC4A's. Stephen Windisch just trailed Manson, running his own season-best of 49.80.
Michael Oduro excelled in the triple jump for BC, reaching a mark of 14.33m (47-0.25) to place 10th in the event. The mark not only qualifies him for the ACC Indoor Championships, but is the eighth-best mark in program history.
Ben Ruffing closed the day for BC with the ninth-fastest 5000m time in program history, running a 14:35.06.
What's Next
BC is off for two weeks and returns for the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana from Feb. 27-29.
