Eagles Travel to Face Syracuse and Cornell This Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Eagles return from a weekend off and hit the road to face Syracuse at the Drumlins Country Club on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 11 a.m. and Cornell on Sunday (Feb. 16) at 9 a.m. in Binghamton, New York.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
• BC's last match was its ACC opener against No. 11 Virginia, which resulted in a tough 5-2 loss at home on Feb. 2
• The Eagles are 7-1 overall, featuring a 4-0 record on the road
• After the match against the Cavaliers, No. 67 Yufei Long was named ACC Co-Player of the Week for her defeat of No. 21 Natasha Subhash and Yale's No. 44 Samantha Martinelli
• Laura Lopez won at third singles against UVA, pushing her perfect record on the spring to 8-0
• Five of those victories for the sophomore have come in straight sets

SCOUTING SYRACUSE
• Syracuse has one ranked singles player in No. 76 Guzal Yusupova
• The Orange is 5-0 overall in its spring season after edging St. John's 4-3 at home last Friday
• Last year's meeting resulted in a 4-3 home win for the Eagles, who posted their first-ever upset of a top-10 ranked program
• Syracuse closed last season with Yusupova, Miranda Ramirez and Sofya Golubovskaya ranked in singles and Sofya Treshcheva and Kim Hansen ranked in doubles

SCOUTING CORNELL
• Cornell is 1-7 overall but is coming off a 4-0 win against Massachusetts
• The Big Red fell to Harvard and Brown in its other two matches at the ECAC Indoor Championships in New York
• The last match Boston College played against Cornell was in 1994, and BC boasts a 5-1 record in series history
• Last year, Cornell finished with a 6-16 record and went winless at 0-7 in league play
