Steffon Mitchell posted a historic stat line in the overtime win at Virginia Tech on Feb. 8.
Mitchell tied his career-highs with 21 points and 15 rebounds, while dishing out a season-high six assists.
The Shakopee, Minn. native was 5-of-10 from the floor (2-4 3FG) and 9-of-11 from the foul line.
The 6-8 forward also notched two blocked shots and a steal in a season-high 43 minutes of play.
Mitchell's stat line was the only one of its kind against a Division I opponent this season and the best in the ACC in 20+ years.
The last player to post a stat line of 21 points/15 rebounds/6 assists/2 blocks/1 steal in an ACC game: Tim Duncan.
The Big Fundamental posted 21 points/23 boards/6 dimes/3 swats/1 steal in a 66-60 win over Virginia on Feb. 22, 1997.

DERRYCK OVER THE LAST FOUR

Derryck Thornton is averaging 16.0 ppg over his last four games - the second-highest four-game scoring stretch of the season.
The grad transfer guard had his third 20-point performance of the season, scoring 21 points vs. Duke on Feb. 4.

Graduate transfer Derryck Thornton has returned to the ACC to play his final season of eligibility.
He is Boston College's leading scorer (13.0 ppg) and ranks 13th in the ACC in assists, averaging 3.5 assists per contest.
His top three career scoring performances have come this season, including a career-best 23 points vs. Wake Forest.
Overall, four of Thornton's top five and seven of his top 10 single-game scoring totals have come in a BC uniform.
Thornton began his career at Duke in 2015-16, averaging 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 36 games (20 starts).
The L.A. native played two seasons USC, averaging 6.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and a 1.73:1 ATR in 57 games.
His assist/turnover (2.22:1) ranked third and his assists average ranked sixth (4.3) in the Pac-12 in 2018-19.

EAGLES POSTING NOTABLE ACC WIN MILESTONES IN 2019-20
