520-yard performance tied school record held with Doug Flutie
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday that Boston College's Dennis Grosel was named the ACC Quarterback of the Week. Grosel had a historic performance Saturday at Virginia.

Grosel tied the program-record for passing yards in a game at 520 with Doug Flutie (1982). He finished the day 32-of-46 passing for 520 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. Flutie's 520-yard game was against No. 8 Penn State on Oct. 30, 1982.

Grosel surpassed his previous career-high of 229 with 251 yards in the first half against the Cavaliers. He also set career-highs in touchdown passes (4) and completions (32).

Grosel's 520 yards passing were the most ever allowed by Virginia in a game.

Boston College (6-5, 5-5) finished the regular season with five ACC victories, the most for the Eagles since 2009 in conference play.
