Hollowell Announces 2020-21 Captains

Alexa Liquori and Rachel Taeubel will serve as captains of the Boston College rowing team for the upcoming season.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Alexa Liquori and Rachel Taeubel will serve as captains of the Boston College rowing team for the upcoming season, as announced Friday by head coach Grace Hollowell.

Both Liquori and Taeubel will be first-time captains.

"I am excited that the team has chosen two strong, hardworking, and kind women to lead our team during these challenging times," said Hollowell. "Alexa and Rachel have been steadfast fixtures of the team for the past three years, consistently working to cultivate our culture and boat speed."

Liquori is a senior from McLean, Va. while Taeubel is a senior from Long Beach, Calif.

"Alexa is incredibly tough and leads by example, her work ethic is only rivaled by her care for her teammates. Rachel consistently holds herself and those around her to high standards and is thorough and thoughtful in her words and actions."
