BC Takes Home Two Event Wins at BU Multi-Meet

BOSTON – At the BU Multi-Meet, held at the BU Track and Tennis Center, the Boston College women's track and field team took home two event wins and had six top-three finishes on the day.
Winning events were Monica Heil and Julia Lyons, where Heil won the 400m with a time of 57.04, while Lyons won the long jump with a mark of 5.71m (18-9.00). Lyons also placed fourth in the 60m with a time of 7.90.
BC had another strong showing in a field event as Jessica Creedon took home second in the high jump, hitting a height of 1.60m (5-3.00).
Katherine Mitchell and Jillian Skerry both had third-place finishes. Mitchell took third in the 1000m with a time of 2:53.26, whole Skerry ran a 3000m time of 10:20.12.
The Eagles closed the meet with a second-place finish in the 4x400m relay as Anna Cleary, Abigail Gothers, Sarah Heckel and Heil teamed up to run a 3:54.17 and only trail host BU.

BC is back next weekend in the John Thomas Terrier Classic, also at the BU Track and Tennis Center, on Jan. 24-25.
