Eagles Host Georgia Tech on Saturday Evening

Pre-Game Fan Fest:
Prior to Saturday night's game, there will be a Fan Fest held in Power Gym, beginning at 5 p.m. There will be inflatables, face painting, and much more.

Free Parking:
Park in the Commonwealth Avenue garage for FREE on Saturday.

Clear Bag Policy:
Similar to football season, a clear bag policy will be in effect for all men's basketball games at Conte Forum. Approved bags for entrance to Conte Forum include a clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12"x12"x6", a one-gallon sized clear plastic bag, or a small clutch wristlet or handheld wallet.

Concessions:
Saturday night's game will feature $2 souvenir cup soft drinks all night. New kids fare is available in Conte Forum and all items will be $1.50, including Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Goldfish snack crackers, and "kid popular" bottled drinks provided by Coca-Cola. Additionally, all concessions (with the exception of alcohol) will be discounted by 50% pre-game, prior to tip-off.

Merchandise:
All fans arriving early are eligible to purchase one item from the Conte Forum merchandise shop for 25% up until tip-off.

Preferred Mutual Family Section:

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. GEORGIA TECH - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 28th meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 12-15 all-time vs. Georgia Tech.
Since joining the ACC, BC is 11-12 versus the Yellow Jackets.
In ACC regular season play, BC is 8-9 against Georgia Tech.
The Eagles are 6-4 vs. Georgia Tech in games played at home.
Last year on March 3, 2019, BC fell, 81-78, in overtime in Atlanta.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY

Boston College is 85-157 in 13 seasons in the ACC.
The Eagles started 2-0 in ACC play for the first time since 2010-11.

NOT THROWING AWAY HIS SHOT

Over his last 12 games, Jared Hamilton has connected on 41-of-81 shots - just under a 51% shooting percentage.
Hamilton drilled the go-ahead 3-pointer with 38 seconds to play in the 60-53 win over #18/18 Virginia on Jan. 7.
The 6-4 senior scored 16 points in 31 minutes off the bench in the win over the defending National Champion.
He has scored in double-digits in six of 15 games and ranks fifth on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg).
On Dec. 21 vs. California, he scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half in a 64-60 win at Chase Center.
He scored a season-high 18 points on Dec. 15 vs. CCSU, making 6-of-9 shots (3-3 3FG).
In a win at Notre Dame, Hamilton made 6-of-8 shots from the floor (1-1 3FG), scoring a season-high 13 points.
His 41.9% shooting clip (13-31) from beyond the arc leads Boston College this season.
The elder Hamilton is also averaging 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Jairus Hamilton is averaging 10.6 points over the last seven games. BC is 5-2 during that stretch.

Boston College moved to 8-15 all-time when facing the defending NCAA champion.
The Eagles posted wins over CCNY (1/11/51), North Carolina (3/20/94;1/25/06, 3/11/06; 2/20/10), Syracuse (3/11/04), Connecticut (1/5/05), and Virginia (1/7/20).
It snapped a six-game losing streak vs. the Cavaliers, as the Eagles won its first game vs. UVA since March 3, 2013.
The 60 points scored vs. Virginia were the most by BC since Jan. 19, 2011, in a 70-67 win at Conte Forum.
It marked the first time this season that Boston College earned a win when trailing with 5:00 remaining in regulation.
BC's 0.95 points per possession was the highest by a Virginia opponent so far during the 2019-20 season.

JAY DOT BUCKETS

Among all ACC freshmen, Jay Heath ranks third in scoring (12.4 ppg), second in 3FG made (23), fourth in 3FG% (.394), and is second in steals (21).
Heath ranks 29th in 3-point FG% and 32nd in 3FG made nationally among freshmen.
Entering the Dec. 10 game vs. Albany, Jay Heath ranked fourth nationally among freshman in 3FG% (21-42; 50.0%)
Over the next four games, Heath cooled off, connecting on 2-of-19 from beyond the arc.
Last time out, Heath connected on 3-of-5 from the perimeter in the win over Virginia.
Earlier this season, Heath knocked down 5-of-7 from deep versus Eastern Washington.
The last BC freshman to make five 3-pointers in a game: Ky Bowman (5) vs. Notre Dame on Feb. 14, 2017.
Heath has scored in double figures in 11 of the 14 games in which he has appeared.

STEFFON MITCHELL DOES IT ALL
This season...

Steffon Mitchell leads BC in rebounding (8.6), steals (2.4), and blocks (1.1) per game, while ranking second in assists (3.0).
He is the only player nationally to log 8.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocked shots per game.
Mitchell has led the team in rebounding in 12 games, blocks on eight occasions, assists seven times, and steals nine times.
He has posted three double-doubles this season, including in consecutive games vs. Albany and Central Connecticut.
He set a new career-high with six steals on Dec. 15 against Central Connecticut.
Against High Point, Mitchell logged his seventh career double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
In the ACC, he leads the league in steals, ranks sixth in rebounding, and is 13th in assist/turnover ratio.

Mitchell has led BC in at least one statistical category (scoring, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) in 70 of his 76 career games.
The 6-7 forward is the ACC's active rebounding leader, averaging 8.2 rebounds per game for his 76-game career.
Last year, he ranked fifth overall in the league (7.9 rpg). As a freshman, he ranked seventh in the conference (8.3 rpg).
The Shakopee, Minn. native became the first true freshman in Boston College history to average better than 8.0 rpg.

Graduate transfer Derryck Thornton has returned to the ACC to play his final season of eligibility.
He is Boston College's leading scorer (13.3 ppg) and ranks 19th in the ACC in scoring.
Thornton also ranks 14th in the ACC in assists, averaging 3.4 assists per contest, and 13th in steals (1.5 spg).
His top two career scoring performances - 23 vs. Wake Forest and 22 at USF - came in the first two games of the season.
Overall, three of Thornton's top four and six of his top 10 single-game scoring totals have come in a BC uniform.
Thornton began his career at Duke in 2015-16, averaging 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 36 games (20 starts).
The L.A. native played two seasons USC, averaging 6.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and a 1.73:1 ATR in 57 games.
His assist/turnover (2.22:1) ranked third and his assists average ranked sixth (4.3) in the Pac-12 in 2018-19.
