Eagles Drop Home Contest to No. 6 Louisville

NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team lost a home game against No. 6 Louisville, 3-2, on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Newton Field Hockey Complex.

Jaime Natale and Margo Carlin both registered a goal and an assist on the day, while Jonna Kennedy made two saves in net.

It was an even game throughout as Louisville led with 10 total shots to BC's eight and a Cardinal 3-2 advantage in penalty corners.

Natale opened the scoring for the game, putting home a loose ball in front of the net for her second goal of the year.

The game was scoreless through the end of the first half, until Louisville scored their first goal of the match on a shot from the top of the circle.

Just over a minute late, Carlin scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season, finding a loose ball off a Natale tip.
Â
Louisville then went on to score two more goals in the third period, ultimately winning, 3-2.
