BC Introduces New Initiatives to Football Gameday Experience

McGovern Auto presents Fast Pass; Preferred Mutual promotes Family Section as part of new gameday initiatives.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College athletic department has announced several new enhancements and initiatives for the football gameday experience at Alumni Stadium in 2019. This season will feature the McGovern Fast Pass and Clear Bag Policy as well as the new Family Section (Section BB) presented by Preferred Mutual.

Fast pass entry to Alumni Stadium will be at Gate C, which is located on the North side of Conte Forum, for all donor based seating ticket holders. Also, helping to speed up the process of getting fans to their seats is the addition of the clear bag policy. The first 10,000 fans through the gates to the season opener will receive a clear bag, courtesy of the McGovern Auto Group.

Approved bags for entrance to Alumni Stadium include a clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12"x12"x6", a one-gallon sized clear plastic bag or a small clutch wristlet or handheld wallet.

The family section will ensure a positive gameday experience for fans of all ages in an area that promotes sportsmanship and good behavior. Special youth pricing will be available in the family section. For more information, please call 617-552-GoBC.

As previously announced this summer, BC has expanded its tailgating hours. New for the 2019 football season, fans will be permitted to tailgate four hours prior to kickoff ahead of every weekend game. For weekend games that begin at 3 p.m. and earlier, fans will be permitted to tailgate one hour following the contest as well. Weekday games will still have three hours of tailgating permitted prior to the game and no post-game tailgating as in previous years.
• New kids fare will be available at three locations in Alumni Stadium. The fare includes Uncrustables peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Goldfish snack crackers and "kid popular" bottled drinks provided by Coca-Cola.
• All concessions (with the exception of alcohol) will be discounted by 50% pre-game, up until kickoff.
Merchandise:
• All fans arriving early are eligible to purchase one merchandise item from an Alumni Stadium shop for 25% up until kickoff.
FanFest:
• The pre-game FanFest will be located in the new Margot Connell Recreation Center.
• FanFest features inflatables, face painting, autographs with former BC players, games, giveaways and more.
