CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College softball team and Head Coach Amy Kvilhaug has announced the addition of Peyton Schnackenberg to the 2020 roster as a transfer from Syracuse.
"I've known Peyton and her family for many years, dating back to when I was recruiting her to play at St. John's," said Kvilhaug. "Peyton is a tireless worker who has all the tools to be able to successfully contribute to the production I expect to see from our entire pitching staff."
Last season, Schnackenberg appeared in 10 games, pitching 21.2 innings with 10 strikeouts. Throughout the season, she posted at least one strikeout in nine of her 10 appearances.
"Her familiarity with the ACC and competing at the highest level of collegiate softball is extremely valuable," continued Kvilhaug. "Boston College was a university Peyton has always been interested in dating back to high school, so it's great that we can both be reunited as Eagles and help to grow this program into something special."
A native of Belle Mead, New Jersey, she was a 2018 PGF All-American at Montgomery High School and the 2017 Skyland Conference Player of the Year and Courier News Player of the Year.
