Eagles swept the weekly conference awards for the third time this season
GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the third time this season, members of the No. 1 Boston College women's lacrosse team have taken hold of both spots in the Atlantic Coast Conference weekly awards as graduate student Kenzie Kent was named Offensive Player of the Week and senior Elizabeth Miller earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. The recognitions follow a dominant week for the Eagles, defeating both No. 5 Notre Dame and No. 13 Duke at home.
Kent led all point-scorers over both matchups, posting six points against Notre Dame through two goals and four helpers and eight points against Duke with three goals and five assists. The attacker currently leads the NCAA in assists with 48 and is ranked fifth in total points with 74.
Miller won control of three draws against Notre Dame, one of the most dominant draw control teams in the nation. The defender picked up three ground balls over the contest and was a consistent part in maintaining possession of the ball en route to the win for the Eagles. Against Duke, she was part of the core that held the Blue Devils to their third-lowest goal production of the season, winning one draw and picking up one ground ball.
The weekly award sweep marks the fifth time this season that at least one Eagle has been named an ACC Player of the Week. The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 13 for a noon contest with No. 21 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
